12th Annual Russian Children’s Folk Festival 2010

Happy Families has been sponsoring orphaned children to participate in our Russian Children Folk Festival since 1998! We plan to bring 15 – 20 children ages 6-12 from orphanages in the Kaliningrad region with their chaperones to Houston, TX in June 2010. The children will be staying with host families for 2 weeks. 11th Annual Summer Picnic 2009 starting with a Russian Children’s Folk Fest Concert

The 2009 Russian Children’s Folk Festival held in early June was a great success! A group of 14 children from Russian orphanages performed Russian Folk Song and Dances and shared their Russian Culture with us. They returned to Russia with memories of their visit here that will last a lifetime. Thank you to the host families and to all who participated in this great event. 2007 Russian Children’s Folk Festival and Picnic at Lakeside at Osceola Beach
We welcome you to view some pictures of our 2007 Russian Children’s Folk Festival and Picnic at Lakeside at Osceola Beach. This year we had children from the Tambov and Moscow regions entertain us with Russian Folk Song and Dance, as well as a children’s orchestra from Moscow and a wonderful performance of Dance and Drums by the renowned young artist Mansur Musaev! A wonderful time was had by all. Sasha Shulchev was with us to share this great time with us. We wish to thank all of you who helped to make it one of our best years ever, as we celebrated our 10th year of this festival. Click here for pictures >>.
